- 10mins walk from supermarket, bakery, post-office, newsagents, bike hire,
- 15kms from Royan (nearest largest city),
- Many others beaches nearby (Nauzan, St Palais sur Mer, Grande Cote,...)
Bois dEleis is a group of semi-detached holiday
villas set in the pine forest in the heart of Charente-Maritime. The properties share a
outdoor swimming pool (open from mid June until September) and close by you will find
good tennis courts and a childrens play area. The house has a compact yet
comfortable interior, with a small secluded south facing garden with patio (garden
furniture and BBQ provided). From Bois dEleis, it is a short walk to many shops,
restaurants and bars in La Palmyre. The village also offers a colourful market, wine
tasting of the local speciality "Pineau", with an excellent zoo and funpark
(Luna park) nearby. Magnificent long sandy beaches and the fishing port are a twenty
minutes walk from the house through the pine forest. |

Coming from Saintes / Royan:
Coming from Saintes follow the directions for Royan. You bypass Royan following the
directions for La Palmyre Zoo (national road, N150), approx. 16km from the zoo.
As you pass by the zoo (it cannot be missed from the road on your right
hand side), take the first road on your right (approx. 150 meters from Zoo). You
keep driving for about 250 meters and take the first road on your left (signpost
"Bois d'Eleis"). You are now on "Avenue des Alouettes", keep driving
for approx. 500 meters, the house is on the right. The parking spot No. 5 is reserved for
the house.
Coming from Arvert / Les Mathes:
Follow signs for La Palmyre Zoo. When approaching La Palmyre, you pass by the hippodrome
on your left hand side, take the first left. Keep going for another 300 meters and take
the second turn right which will bring you onto "Avenue des Alouettes". The
Residence No. 5 is the first house you will see on your left.

Whether
you are looking for a relaxing holiday for your family or a more activity based break, the
region offers many opportunities. The surrounding area is a delight to discover on foot or
by bicycle. For a complete change, the vineyards to the south of
Royan or in the Medoc region (direct ferries from Royan - 45mins) are a
delightful visit, as is the old Phare de Cordouan (lighthouse). Ile
dOléron Frances second largest island, famous for its oyster beds,
dunes and pine forest is a great day. La Rochelle a beautiful historic town with a
charm all of its own is great for shopping and the choice of restaurants is endless.

- Prices include all charges and taxes,
- 30% of rent to be paid to secure booking,
- 100% of rent to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival,
- 300 Euros of security deposit (to cover damages to the
property/contents),
- Weekly rental from Sunday noon to Sunday noon (Saturday may be
possible, please advise)
- Paypal accepted
(plus fees).

3. How to make a reservation?
- If you are interested in making a reservation, i will send you a copy of
the Rental agreement with the full details included.
- Payment of 30% of the amount of rent at the time of booking to secure
booking.
- Payment of the balance at least 8 weeks prior to arrival.
- Payment Accepted: Paypal, bank draft or cheque from a French or a Irish
bank or cash. Please contact me for other payments.
- Payment of a security deposit upon arrival. This deposit is fully
refundable at the time of departure following the inspection of the property, provided
there has been no damage or breakages. Usually with most of our guest no damage occur and
the full amount is returned. Also possible via Paypal (deposit will not debited from
account).
- In the event of a cancellation, I will take the liberty of keeping the
booking deposit.
4. How will the arrival and departure be taking
place?
- A person, living in the vicinity and speaking English, will be welcoming
you on my behalf. She will make sure everything is in order upon your arrival, give you
the keys and will take the security deposit (cheque or cash). Upon your departure, she
will check that everything is in order prior to returning the full deposit to you.
- Contact names, addresses and phone numbers will be provided to you once
the 30% deposit is received.
- As a courtesy, please inform the person awaiting you or myself of any
changes in schedule or late arrival.
- Please treat the property that you rent with respect.
- On request and for a suplementary fee, a cleaning service is available on
day of departure (to be requested and paid with balance 8 weeks prior to arrival).
5. If a problem occur during my vacation?
- If there is a problem during your stay, you can either contact me
directly, or the person who will be welcoming you or even the care-taker, who is in charge
of the Residence du Bois d'Eleis.
